This update shows more work on the details in the warthogs. I will need to go over the background again to repair scratches that occurred during shipping from the states (insert angry fist-in-the-air emoticon here). It still needs a lot of details added, hairs on the hogs, blades in the grass, pebbles on the road, etc.

The ‘friends’ I added are actually the same warthog repeated in different positions from different photos. Here I have also added more detail overall.

I based this work on a photograph I took in Entabeni Nature Reserve, I was inspired by the long afternoon shadows. After the initial blocking in, I thought she looked a bit lonely, so I decided to give her some friends.
